1981 Graduated from Central School of Art and Design London, Fine Art Painting
1981 to present day exhibit paintings in local venues, touring in France, group exhibitions including Brixton Art Gallery, Chelsea, Folkestone.
1981 Murals in public places, customising restaurants, nurseries, night-clubs.
1981 to present day: Street Art Events, painting portraits from life in public.
1981 to present day: Art talks to societies, clubs and events.
1981 to present day: Multiple public and private painting and portrait commissions, collections include: Deal Town Hall, Dover College, Dave Lee,
         Recent commissions in collections of Ian Glen QC, Rev. L. Berry.
2009 “Spirit of Deal” Original Project working with “The Prosperity Network.  Recession busting idea collaborating with Deal Town Council, local Artists and Chamber of Commerce to put art in empty shops and paint boarded up buildings.
2009 Set up “Burning Bush Gallery” Showcasing the Arts in Deal.

2010 Awarded Cultural Hero for South East.

Other Community projects include:

2009 “Pass the Passion” Commission for Dover Extended Schools to create a figure-head art project for the Olympic Torch Campaign. Mural involving 4 schools, local shopping outlet customers and public festival.
2008 Herne Bay Cultural Trail. Commission from Herne Bay Town Partners to provide 3 large public murals, funded by “People’s Millions” ITV programme and Big lottery.
2007 to present day: Artlark. Original community teaching project, 2 days a week, providing art education for adults in painting and portraiture, connecting local rural and urban communities, using local musicians as models for art classes. Kids Artlark club at the Burning Bush Gallery on Saturday mornings.
         Beginners classes funded by Coalfield Regeneration Project.
2006 to present day: “Loose Cannon” set up and Chair Community Art group aiming to connect different art forms, different age-groups, rural and urban communities.
2006 “Roman Invasion” A Loose Cannon project: Community Event, funded by AWA,
         Deal Town Council and Walmer Parish Council: Children dressed as Romans re-enact the Roman Invasion on our local Walmer beach. Parade, Education workshops, local music and 3m Giants.
2006 to present day: Greengang: Commission for Loose Cannon to provide Community Arts Events for Walmer Parish Council, with local business sponsorship.
2006 to present day: Deal Festival of Music and the Arts. Commission to provide education art projects, connecting arts and music in local schools.
2005 “Feast Your Eyes” Original project idea: Art Trail, putting art into all local cafes and pubs, guided walk viewing and tasting!

My preoccupation is to discover what constitutes a sense of presence both in the sense of time and place, and how to achieve it with paint and with the manipulation of the context in which painting is found...
